Inspired by a French double-breasted coat from the archive, the pattern has been refined to suit a
modern silhouette and fit.
Naturally plant-dyed to achieve E’s signature grey tone, the piece is accented with a custom-designed
pin for added character and detail.
The buttons are a mix of custom-designed metal buttons, hand-dyed coconut shell buttons, and buttons
made from dead-stock fabrics, reflecting the garment’s distinctive craftsmanship.
